5.1. Prepare the Rough Opening
Construct a rough opening in your wall. The minimum height should be 84 1/2 inches (2.14m). The width should be 2 times the door width plus 1 inch (25mm).
5.2. Measure for Frame Header End Brackets
Set a nail at the door height plus 3/4 inch (19mm) or 1-1/2 inches (38mm) from the sub-floor, depending on your specific door height requirements.
5.3. Snap a Chalk Line
Snap a chalk line on the floor to mark the position for the bottom of the frame.
5.4. Attach Frame Header to Rough Studs
Secure the frame header to the rough studs using the provided screws. Ensure it is level and properly aligned.

5.5. Attach Split Steel Studs
Attach the split steel studs to the header and the floor, ensuring they are plumb and securely fastened. Use the included steel stud screws.
5.6. Insert Hanger Assembly and Soft-Close Components
Insert the ball bearing hanger wheel assembly, soft-close actuators, and triggers into the track. Ensure the flat side of the hanger faces inward and alternate wheel positions for even weight distribution.
5.7. Apply Wall Material
Once the frame is securely installed, apply your desired wall material (e.g., drywall) to cover the frame. Use self-tapping drywall screws.
5.8. Seal All Edges
After applying wall material, seal all edges as needed, typically with joint compound and paint.
5.9. Mount Door Plates and Hang Door
Mount the door plates to the top edge of your door, ensuring they are centered and securely fastened. Then, carefully hang the door onto the track assembly.
5.10. Install Finished Jambs, Split Headers, and Casing
Install the finished jambs, split headers, and casing around the door opening. Use self-tapping finish trim screws. Ensure a 3/16 inch (5mm) gap for proper door movement.
5.11. Fasten Door Guides
Fasten the door guides to the floor at the bottom of the door opening. Ensure a 3/16 inch (5mm) gap between the door and the guides for smooth operation.
5.12. Cutting Instructions for Header (if needed)
The header can be cut to accommodate different door widths. The cutting line is marked for standard door sizes (24", 28", 30", 32"). If your door size is not standard, measure from the fixed bracket end of the header board 2 times the door width plus 1 inch, then mark and cut the wood header and metal track accordingly. The metal track should be cut 1 3/8 inches shorter than the wood header.
