Follow these steps to correctly attach your Canon FD/FL lens to your Canon EOS camera using the Fotodiox PRO adapter:
- 將轉接器連接到鏡頭: Align the red dot on the Fotodiox adapter with the red dot or index mark on your Canon FD/FL lens. Rotate the lens clockwise until it clicks into place. Ensure the lens is securely locked onto the adapter.
- Attach Lens/Adapter Assembly to Camera: Align the red dot on the adapter with the red dot on your Canon EOS camera body. Rotate the entire lens and adapter assembly clockwise until it locks into place on the camera mount.
- 分離: To detach, press the lens release button on your camera body and rotate the lens/adapter assembly counter-clockwise. To separate the lens from the adapter, locate the release mechanism on the adapter (if present) and rotate the lens counter-clockwise.

操作說明
This adapter is a manual device. Functions that rely on electronic communication between the lens and camera body (such as autofocus, automatic exposure metering, and image stabilization) will not operate. You will need to adjust settings manually.
- 聚焦: All focusing must be done manually using the focus ring on your FD/FL lens.
- 光圈控制: Adjust the aperture using the aperture control ring on your FD/FL lens. If your lens does not have a manual aperture control ring, it will default to its smallest f/stop.
- 曝露: Set your camera to Manual (M) mode or Aperture Priority (Av) mode. In Av mode, the camera will automatically select the shutter speed based on the aperture you set on the lens. You may need to adjust your camera's ISO setting to achieve correct exposure.
- Built-in Optic: The adapter includes a 1.4x optic glass element to allow infinity focus. Be aware that in some cases, this additional optical element may slightly affect image quality, potentially causing soft focus or chromatic aberration. To minimize these effects, identify and use the lens's "sweet spot" (the aperture value that provides the sharpest image, typically a few stops down from wide open).
- 微距攝影: The built-in glass element can be removed for macro photography, transforming the adapter into an extension tube. This allows for closer focusing distances but will prevent infinity focus.
保養和維護
Proper care will ensure the longevity and performance of your lens mount adapter:
- 打掃: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the adapter. For the optical element, use a lens cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- 貯存: Store the adapter in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use. Keep the protective caps on both ends to prevent dust and scratches.
- 處理: Handle the adapter by its body, avoiding direct contact with the optical element or mounting surfaces.

故障排除
If you encounter issues while using your Fotodiox PRO Lens Mount Adapter, consider the following:
- Soft Focus/Image Degradation: This can occur due to the additional optical element. Try adjusting the aperture to your lens's "sweet spot" (typically f/5.6 to f/11) for sharper results. Ensure the lens and adapter are clean.
- 漸暈: Some vignetting (darkening at the corners of the image) may occur, especially with certain lens and camera combinations, or if using a full-frame camera with an adapter designed for crop sensors. This is a characteristic of adapting lenses and can sometimes be corrected in post-processing.
- Aperture Not Changing: Ensure your lens has a manual aperture ring and that it is functioning correctly. If the lens lacks an aperture ring, it will operate at its smallest aperture.
- Adapter Not Mounting Securely: Check for any obstructions on the mounting surfaces of the lens, adapter, or camera. Ensure proper alignment of the index marks and apply firm, but not excessive, pressure when rotating to lock.
- No Autofocus/Auto Exposure: This adapter does not support electronic communication. Autofocus and automatic exposure functions will not work. All adjustments must be made manually.
